He inspired Shaye to continue the same path in her career as an attorney. Shaye Larkin now has over 15 years of experience in preparing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy petitions and has represented hundreds of clients in the United States Bankruptcy Court, including artists, entrepreneurs, the elderly and disabled. She understands your situation and will hold your hand through the process, making it as painless and understandable as possible. Shaye Larkin believes bankruptcy should be an affordable option and offers a low flat fee as well as a payment plan for those who are not able to pay all at once.

Landlord-Tenant Law - Wrongful Evictions
Over the years, Shaye Larkin has represented numerous residential tenants in actions against landlords, including wrongful eviction suits, illegal rent increases, lawsuits for breach of the warranties of habitability and quiet enjoyment, fraud, and suits for injuries caused by defective or hazardous conditions in the premises. She is a strong advocate for Tenants Rights in San Francisco.

Shaye Larkin is featured in the October 17, 2005 edition of the San Francisco Daily Journal in an article focusing on the ramifications of the Bankruptcy Reform Act.
In January, 2002 Shaye Larkin wrote an article in the AIDS Legal Referral Panel’s publication: Panel Notes entitled "Success Stories",in which she discussed her most memorable moments as a volunteer attorney for the Aids Legal Referral Panel.
Shaye Larkin was featured in the Fall, 2001 issue of Haywire, a news magazine for th Alumni of Cal State Hayward in an article which focused on her pro bono legal work for AIDS/HIV clients through the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.
Shaye Larkin was featured in the October 19, 2001 Public Interest Clearinghouse publication: Legal Services Bulletin for receiving the State Bar’s 2001 President’s Pro Bono Service Award

Community Involvement
Shaye Larkin is actively involved in improving access of legal services to the poor in the San Francisco community. Shaye Larkin has been recognized by the State Bar of California for her outstanding provision of pro bono legal services for the poor. Ms. Larkin joined the Aids Legal Referral Panel in 1999 and has successfully provided direct representation for HIV/AIDS clients in the areas of credit and bankruptcy, landlord-tenant law, family law, wills, and power of attorney. She has also provided direct representation for clients of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) and in 2001 successfully obtained political asylum and work authorization for an HIV positive VLSP client. Ms. Larkin received the A.L.R.P. 1999 Attorney of the Year award and the 2001 State Bar of California President's Pro Bono Award. Shaye Larkin received The San Francisco Bar Association Community Service Award in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel Superhero Award in 2002, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Shaye Larkin devotes much of her spare time to giving hundreds of individuals, couples and businesses legal advice within her practice areas free of charge, and will continue to do so in the forseeable future.
